Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Tari Niemeyer, and I’ve dedicated over 20 years to the field of education. In 2014, I founded NEST, LLC, inspired by a desire to nurture education through service and training.
As a Nurtured Heart Approach® (NHA) Advanced Trainer, I’m passionate about sharing this powerful methodology in all aspects of my work. I truly enjoy partnering with early care and education providers, schools, county and statewide organizations, and parents—offering program support, coaching, and professional development. My goal is to help create positive, supportive environments where everyone can thrive.

Nurtured Heart Approach®
Tari is a certified Nurtured Heart Approach® (NHA) Advanced Trainer, passionate about helping others build positive, healthy relationships. Through this approach, Tari guides individuals in celebrating intensity, recognizing successes, and igniting greatness to foster Inner Wealth™.
What is NHA?
Developed by Howard Glasser, the NHA is a relationship-based method designed to help children—especially those with intense behaviors—develop emotional strength, self-regulation, and inner confidence. Rather than focusing on correcting negative behaviors, NHA emphasizes intentionally celebrating positive choices, no matter how small. This approach is widely used by parents, educators, and mental health professionals to nurture resilience and healthy relationships. Originally created for children with ADHD, trauma histories, or emotional sensitivity, NHA has proven effective across diverse settings, including classrooms, families, and therapeutic environments. NHA is a relationship-based method designed to help children—especially those with intense behaviors—build emotional strength, self-regulation, and inner confidence.

Special Education
Tari is a Minnesota-licensed classroom and special education teacher, holding credentials in specific learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. I am passionate about supporting students and educators, and I offer a variety of services to help special education programs thrive, including:
- Consultation and Support: Guidance for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD), including pre-referral interventions, evaluation, programming, and ongoing support for special education case managers.
- Individualized Education Plans: Collaborative development of IEPs and evaluations with special education teachers and other team members to ensure every student’s needs are met.
- Functional Behavior Assessments: Comprehensive assessments to better understand and support student behavior.
- Social Skills and Emotional Learning: Opportunities for students to build social skills and strengthen social-emotional learning.
